About JB Soler
Julio B. Soler is a GenAI Creative Director and award-winning filmmaker operating at the intersection of cinematic storytelling and artificial intelligence. Before pioneering new frontiers in synthetic media, his career spanned more than 16 years in creative direction and integrated production in the world of advertising, including hands-on video editing and complex post-production work. He led high-impact initiatives for industry giants like Verizon, AT&T, Intel, and NBCUniversal. This foundational work earned him numerous industry recognitions, including a prestigious Effie Award.
Julio is the co-founder and Creative Director of Media Et Al, a boutique agency specializing in AI-driven storytelling, branding, and media production. His pioneering GenAI work includes a portfolio of award-winning shorts, brand films, and music videos. He won the Best Film in the advertising category at the Venice AI Film Awards and took home the top prize in advertising at the Seoul International AI Film Festival. This is in addition to a portfolio of films that have earned finalist selections and honorable jury mentions at festivals from Paris and Cannes to Los Angeles. His approach combines director-led vision with multimodal prompt engineering and streamlined post-production workflows.
An active educator and leading voice in the space, Julio delivers industry talks and hands-on workshops on practical GenAI filmmaking and the creative applications of artificial intelligence. As a creator partner with leading GenAI companies like Higgsfield AI, ImagineArt, and Electric Sheep, his expertise is sought for jury panels, including the 2025 Adobe AI for Good Creative Jam and the upcoming ImagineArt Film Festival.
Julio holds an M.S. in Mass Communications, a Professional Certificate in Film & Video Production from NYU, and postgraduate studies in Applied Artificial Intelligence at MIT. He works fluently in English and Spanish and is available for GenAI direction, consulting, workshops, and industry panels.
